Co-developed by practicing family, occupational, and sports medicine physicians from Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association (IPMA), the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and Sports Medicine physicians, this ABFM approved, new Knowledge Skills Assessment (KSA) provides family physicians the opportunity to brush up on their knowledge in PRIMARY CARE Musculoskeletal Medicine.

What's Covered:

Join a group of your peers to to review MSK medicine in an engaging way and earn CME credits. Led by a leading musculoskeleton expert:

  1. Principles of diagnosing common musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine.

  2. Principles of managing common musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine.

  3. Focusing on functional improvement as it relates to return to work and activity.

  4. Understanding the role of and appropriately utilizing ancillary health care providers (OT, PT, etc.) in the care of musculoskeletal conditions.

  5. Recognizing when musculoskeletal problems require advanced diagnostic testing and/or referral.

  6. Recognizing and managing musculoskeletal emergencies.

Credit: 

Upon successful Group KSA completion: IPMA will award 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ CME credits.

Upon successful KSA completion, credit awarded through ABFM is as follows: earns the diplomate 10 ABFM certification activity points, activity fulfills ABFMs minimum KSA requirement for the certification stage and earns 8 ABFM CME Division I CME credits
